A Crispy dream~
I can't be the only one that can is unable to find the müsli or granola whatever its called in english in the local markets! I just want one with the you know the usual grains and then I want it to be mixed with different nuts and well honey roasted(preferebly with some dark chocolate pieces in there) *drool*
Why is it so hard to find?! :( Am I the only one that wants this combo?
I either find plain ones with nuts, with nuts and roasted with dried fruits (which aren't my personal cup of tea no offense to the dried fruit loves out there!)
Well when you can't have your dreams the easy way you'll just have to suck it up and make them real yourself ;)
Here's the recipe for my dream müsli
A pack of AXA Gold MÜSLI NUT (though any nut musli will do for you non Swedish people :))
or you could just use
1 liter of mixed grains instead I just like the variety of grains in this pre bougth one :) (it's just POORLY roasted)
Then I like to put in some extra nuts in there usually I'll use what we have in the cabins at home.
That will be
1-1,5 dl of each nuts we have (which are usually almonds, walnuts, and hazelnuts)
I'll mixed them a bit to make them into smaller more müsli friendly sizes (just try to not make them into nut dust )
Then or before doing all this (depending if you want to be time effcient)
You'll heat up
1 dl of canola oil(or any normal cooking oil)
with
1 dl of honey
and
1-2 table spoons of vanilla sugar
Heat it up on low heat until it reaches a light boil then ad your grain-nut mix and mix it well until it's all soaked.
Then pour it on a baking tray and roast it in a 150 degrees celcius oven for aout 15-25 minutes (depending on the oven/and how roasted you like it).
Mix it around now and then to make it all evenly roasted. You might even roast them as two sparate batches to avoid a thick layer of the trays.
After that take the müsli out and let it rest/cool down for 10 minutes. Then pour it into containers. And finish bu eating it with your fave combination. Personaly I love it with raspberries, quark and some chopped dark chocolate or with my homemade smoothie- ice cream and with some dark chocolate!
Because my dream wouldn't be real without the chocolate!
